Bottled Gel is an pre-hardmode item with the sole purpose of creating Pink Gel at the cost of normal gel. It does not stack and, upon crafting, after 15 seconds have passed, the item will disappear and be replaced by Bottled Pink Gel. The item will not convert if it is not in the player's inventory and the timer will reset if it is taken out, either by holding it on the cursor, leaving it in a chest or throwing it on the ground. Bottled Pink Gel acts like a Goodie Bag or Present, in that it can be right clicked while in your inventory, yielding 2-4 Pink Gel and a Bottle.
Although the tooltip states that Bottled Gel is consumable, when it is left clicked, the player will just hold it above their head, in the same way as a Fallen Star, although without a sound effect.
